Cuoio
A fragrance pyramid that unfolds from bergamot to sandalwood, layered with vetiver, jasmine and birch — created by Master Perfumer Blaise Mautin. Crafted in Milan, at the heart of tradition since 1652.
A fragrance bearing the face of Giuseppe Verdi.
Cuoio
The Fragrance
A story transformed into heritage, Cuoio turns strength into refinement. Freshly picked bergamot, yellow mandarin and juicy orange open the composition with an ode to vitality and indomitable spirit. The journey continues through a fresh floral accord of lily of the valley and jasmine, tempered by vetiver in a delicate balance of softness and strength. In the base, benzoin unfolds alongside the smoky intensity of cypriol and guaiac wood, expertly balanced by sensual notes of patchouli, birchwood and sandalwood. The result is a bold, mysterious and enduring olfactory signature.
Top Notes: Italian Bergamot, Mandarin, Orange
Heart notes: Lily of the Valley, Vetiver, Jasmine
Base notes: Benzoin, Cypriol, Guaiac Wood, Indonesian Patchouli, Birch Wood, Australian Sandalwood
Key ingredient: Birch wood imparts a sweet, leathery character, inspired by the ancient Russian art of tanning hides with Siberian birch bark.

The Cameo
Encased in a precious 100 ml faceted glass bottle inspired by antique crystal perfume ampoules, the fragrance presents itself as a true objet d’art. A refined brass-finished metal structure enhances its silhouette, while a finely engraved cap seals its elegance.
The bottle is adorned with a distinctive cameo depicting Giuseppe Verdi, one of the greatest opera composers of all time and a figure deeply connected to Milan, La Scala and the Grand Hotel et de Milan, where he chose to spend his final days.
